I thought Anthony's last day was widely known. I bought the ticket to his last performance back in March. I was at his last show yesterday and the theater was sold out and people were being turned away from the box office. He received a standing ovation at the end and his mom presented all the cast members with a bouquet of roses. It was a very emotional day for Anthony, his family and his fans. But he has other projects in the works and never planned on extending his contract. He did very well in the part, despite all the naysayers, and hopefully there is more (off) Broadway in his future.
Nick has a bright future ahead of him. Something tells me he won't be staying in the role of Matt for too long and will be on Broadway before long. I might go see him in the role of Matt before the end of his run, but I think I need a break after seeing the show 8 times :)
I also loved Julie in the role of Luisa. Out of the four Luisas that I saw, she was the best, hands down.
And the rest of the cast - they've got to be one of the best casts - Broadway or off-Broadway. I am so happy that Anthony got a chance to work with those people and that I got to see them.
It certainly was a fun summer :)
