Ditto! Excited to read the reviews, but scared!
Break a leg! I think it is going to very well!
I plan on seeing this Saturday and wish it all the luck. Break a leg!

I saw THE WEDDING SINGER on Monday night to a sold out house. Let me just say...I LOVE THIS SHOW! It was SO MUCH BETTER than I expected it to be. I am now a huge fan. It was some of the most fun I have ever had at the theatre. It's non-stop entertainment from start to finish. The audience was loving it! I wish it all the best on opening night! This cast is PERFECTION! I hope this show has a long life on Broadway.
Break a leg, WS! Saw it twice already during previews, and it's by far one of the greatest musicals this season. Lets hope the Critics will understand WS is all about entertainment.
I'm curious as to why that montage, as lovely as it is, was filmed during the week when Cara Cooper was on as Holly, because that's definitely not Amy...
Can't wait to read the reviews. I love this show - I hope it does well!
I think it's a sign that WS opens the same night my show begins previews.
Break legs!! Yay, Kevin! ♥

I'm excited for WS. I hope it does well, although I'm sure I don't know if the critics will like it as much...but I think it looks like a lot of fun and can't wait to buy the OBC recording when it comes out in early June.

"Merde!"
Wait, what? You're not happy for The Wedding Singer, Nom de Plume? As I understand it, that's a pretty strong French curse word.
In any event, good luck to the cast and crew of TWS tonight!! Hope it goes well, and I can't wait to see it for myself.
Saying "merde" is like "break a leg" -- it allows you to wish the production something positive without jinxing it. I don't think Nom de Plume was coming down on the show at all.
Out of the shows I saw earlier this month, TWS (and Jersey Boys) was easily my favorite. It's so much fun and I couldn't stop laughing. :) My best wishes to this wonderful show and incredibly talented cast - especially Joberg & Kern! Congrats!
I feel sad thinking about how NY theater critics are going to take newbie Stephen Lynch, chew him up, and spit him and this disaster of a show out all over the city.
Luckily for Laura, her panning will simply be an afterthought.
Throw me in the bunch rootin' for it to get good reviews tomorrow. I'm singing its praises having seen it April 1, 2006

Foster, your pessimistic attitude isn't necessary here. Hate somewhere else.
Oh, Trash, I'm glad you are able to deem what is and what is not necessary in a certain thread. Just what we need around here.
The truth is, Foster's post is not out of the question - it's likely, and totally not unfounded.
I enjoyed this show - every second of it. It's a lot of fun, but nothing else. It's uneven and sloppy - but I loved it. It doesn't deserve good reviews in terms of a new work of theatre, but it certainly does deserve some sort of recognition in the fun department.
It will get panned.

I'm not sure if it will get bad reviews across the board. I think it works as its own entity. I don't have much knowledge of the film, but I liked the show. I thought it was hilarious and great score. Most critics are old/snobby, so they might not "get it" but I think its a great show. I'd recommend it to anyone.
---> On a side note, does anyone know the ensemble member who plays the Groom in the begining? I couldn't stop watching him throughout the show. I dont know why, but he just sorta got my attention. Anyone know?

RentBoy, that's Spencer Liff, a fabulous dancer. Plus, he's beautiful.
Just sending out a note - WEDDING SINGER is rushing the first row for the opening performance, on sale at 10 a.m. If you want to go, it should be a good time! I can't, alas, but there will be flowers waiting in Laura's dressing room from me and I'll be seeing it again next week.
Are we gonna get a Cast Recording for this? Coz I like what I've heard on the website and in the video clip and thats NO chance that I'm going to see it on Broadway (Helllllooooooooooo from the UK) and I think I'd kinda like the music (in case we get a transfer!?).
According to the website, if I remember correctly, there will be a cast recording released in early June.

Best wishes for this show.
It is by far one of the most entertaining shows I have seen in years. I won't care what the critics say.
I hope I'm not the jinx to this show. I loved it, and what I love is never loved by the critics!
