To JV92. Sorry, I was wrong . It's RoDgers. Melody and near melody is the same as wit and near wit. Wit is Woody Allen. Near wit is the kind of joke that produces a bewildered laughter from the audience. It has all the rhythms of a joke but it's not quite there. Some people see that as a plus.

That was one of Encores strong points. They could lure in huge names for a very short run. I think the time commitment is only two weeks. A week of rehearsal and then a week of performances. They've been able to pull in Nathan Lane, Anne Hathaway, Patti LuPone, Vanessa Williams, Tyne Daly, Kristin Chenoweth, Bibi Neuwirth, Ann Reinking, Doris Roberts and so many others.

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
