YESSSSSSS !!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's the best news !!!! Finally, a fantastic and talented young performer returns to where he belongs, to Broadway !!! I hope this show will be a great success and Matt will stay for a little while, so that I'll be able to see him around October when I'll be back to NYC !!! I have no doubt he will be phenomenal once again !!!

Interesting casting choice I must say. But I'm glad it's finally cast! I'm hoping that and Dessa Rose will be the best shows of the season. A Tony for Adam Guettel please...

Oh, no !!! Well, maybe with Matt in it it will be a huge success and it will keep extending :)
But even if I won't get to see it, I wish all the best to my favorite actor !!! And I'll wait for extended reviews and maybe the Cast Recording :)

I wish I could Mistress ! But due to lots of business affairs running simultaneously here, I don't think I'll be able to make it until after summer
You are all so lucky that you'll get to see Matt on stage again ! And by the way, since I don't know much about Light in the Piazza (YET !) is it a Leading Role ? Could it lead maybe to...a TONY ?

I dont know much about the show either, but I did find clips from the out of town tryout on a news site somewhere. Its about two women who go to Italy, mother and daughter, and the daughter falls in love Fabrizio (Matts character) and the mother tries to keep them apart. Theres a plot twist I think I should leave out cuz I dont want to ruin it for people this early on. It seems like its a small cast and if the movie is any indication, his character is 4th billed, and his father is the other important male character.

I think that "Light in the Piazza" will be this season's surprise hit, both critically and at the box-office. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Adam Guettel won the Tony for score. They love to give the smarter shows an award for score ("Parade", "Into the Woods").

im sure matt will write a new thoughts section soon, but his last one said "I felt that I'm on a roll in the film and TV world. So, I'm putting my energy into that for the time being until there is a really amazing project to bring me back to the stage. I cannot wait to be back on Broadway!"

So im going to take a wild guess and say that he considers this a "really amazing project."

How is it that you can be biting your tongue to talk about this but it's not on his website nor is any mention of Once Upon A Mattress on his resume. Updates are definitely in order.
