Matt generally likes to break news in his own words, since he flew to LA today, he hasnt written thoughts yet but I did know about this. I was happy I could talk about it here.

Mattress could probably go on his resume page but then I dont know if he bumped something off or just added it.

Its HIS website, he dictates what goes on it...

Never said I liked it or I didn't like it. Just commented that the message board seems as if the site is very much about you and your relationship with Matt. I'm sure he likes it. If he didn't I'm sure he would have it shut down.

The message board is for having fun and sharing stories. Stories about him. I post the most of course, but that helps when youre trying to encourage others to post. When I figure out how to tell a story about him that doesnt involve myself, Ill let you know.

You do that. See, I can be sarcastic too. Also, I might suggest if you're going to have a news section, you might actually post and keep news there about him, not just the anniversary of the website. I've read on atc, this site and playbill that he's been doing concerts here and there. Shouldn't those things be on the news page?

You can feel free to take the advice above as negative criticism. It's not meant to be. If Matthew isn't providing that information to you, perhaps you should seek it out and suggest to him that it goes in that section. I can't imagine him not wanting his fans, let alone industry people know that he's performing.

But what do I know?

I don't know Matthew personally or I just might. He's done other concerts. Didn't he do the Georgia Stitt concert too?

Seems better to put a few things like that on the news page than an anniversary announcement. That's all I'm saying. You seem to be taking this too personally, so I'll stop responding.

The Georgia Stitt concert was there, with a nice invitation to reply to my webmaster email address for a group reservation.

As was the Broadway Kitchen Sink concert he did.

I took them down because people mistakenly thought they were upcoming when in fact they already happened.

The main page isnt meant to keep a record of all his activities, its mostly used to tell people whats new on the site (pictures or new thoughts or whatever).

I must be the only person that cringed when I read that. I don't see Matt in the role at all. Granted, I haven't heard him sing anything legit, but since he's only been cast on Broadway in Footloose, Hairspray and Rocky Horror, it doesn't seem that his legit sound is his forte. Fabrizzio is a raging operatic tenor. I saw the world premiere in Seattle, and I can't see Matthew in the role. Hopefully he will pleasantly surprise me. I have faith in Craig Lucas, Adam Guettel and Bartlet Sher, so we'll see.

I too have faith in the production team. Guettel is not going to agree with someone who couldn't sing the role properly.
p.s. He should definitely win Best Score if nominated but it wouldn't be the first "best" score that didn't win. Look at last year!

You know, this announcement coming this late surprises me. Fabrizio is a major role in the show.

I think Morrison is a good choice, but I'm wondering what the heck went on here, and why it took them so long to find a replacement. Is Bart Sher being really tentative because it's his first Broadway musical?

I had seen Mark Harelik announced as a member of the cast, but now he's not listed in the cast list. Does anyone know what the story is?

I think that the difficulty will only be in the accent, since I believe it will be an English speaking part, right ? I have no doubt that a talented person like Matt will have no trouble at all learning anything that is required.
My question is this. Since most of us Meditteraneans have dark hair, will he have to dye his hair for the role ? I am not saying that there aren't many blondes in Italy, but I think the typical image of an Italian guy is dark haired !

BB - on the Playbill site, under the Broadway listings. When I pull up Light, there's a link to an article from December that annlunces him for the cast, but then he's not listed at the bottom of the show info under cast list.

I did see that he's listed in the cast on the Telecharge site.

GMF, I think he actually has to speak a bit of italian, his english is not supposed to be that great.

I dont know if his hair has to be dark or not.

Thanks, not being negative, it's just a bit "much" and very "inside". I adore all of Matt's work. I think he is an inspired choice for the role.
