I saw him sing at Broadway Under the Stars in June... I think his wife also had a baby recently, so I'm sure he's busy with that. I can't wait to see him in a show again.

I just watched Broadway's Lost Treasures II. I really think Bebe is really cool. I forget, what is she doing now?

He was so great in Man of La Mancha! I think he deserved the Tony for that and/or Ragtime (and I'm glad he got it for Kiss Me Kate!)

According to their Web site, Brian Stokes Mitchell will be opening the fall cabaret season at Feinstein's at the Regency, 540 Park Ave., NYC, on Sept. 21 for a three-week run.

"Tony Award winner Brian Stokes Mitchell will open the fall 2004 season at Manhattan's Feinstein's at the Regency.

The actor, who was recently elected President of the Actors' Fund of America, will begin his three-week nightclub stint Sept. 21 according to the cabaret's official website. Mitchell is expected to offer a mix of standards as well as tunes from his Tony-winning Broadway career."

Whoops! Feinstein's at the Regency jumped the gun: Contrary to an announcement that's still on its Web site, Brian Stokes Mitchell is NOT opening there on Sept. 21. Scheduling conflict.
