Okay, I just want to say that I am officialy jumping on the Brian Stokes Mitchell bandwagon! Yes, I'm very late. But I have arrived! This guy is HOT!!! I just got the Ragtime cd, whoa...what a voice! I think he's one of my new favorites! I could just melt! I am KICKING myself for not seeing La Mancha when I had the chance! Ah well, hind sight is 20/20.

Don't feel bad for jumping on the BSM bandwagon now because I just did as well. I bought the Ragtime recording over the summer and absolutely love Brain Stokes Mitchell. Missed him in Man of LaMancha unfortunately (had tickets during the orchestra stike..just my luck) but he is pretty amazing.

BSM is one of the best actors/singers around, and from what I hear he is nice too.

Isn't he just awesome? I unfortunately missed him in "Ragtime," but I saw him twice in "Kiss Me Kate," and then in "King Hedley II" and "Man of La Mancha." I've also worn out my recording of him in "Kiss of the Spider Woman." His rendition of "Marta" is is so touching...Anyway, he's also very nice. I've waited for him at the stage door a few times and he's always been very kind and gracious. I also wrote him an email via his website and he wrote back! He's very good at dealing with zealous fans such as myself!

Stokes is the man. I saw him in Kiss Me, Kate years ago and unfortunatley he was out the day I saw MOLM. I saw him sing The Impossible Dream at Bryant Park, though. AMAZING!

He is one of the nicest PEOPLE that I have ever met. Forget actor... performer.. One of the nicest human beings that you can ever meet !!! And, yes.. the voice is amazing !!! Was listening to "Ragtime" all day today at work !!!

I thought he was phenomenal in La Mancha. I've seen (and been in) the show several times, one of my favorites, and he was the first person I've ever seen perform the role make a CLEAR distinction between Cervantes and Quixote. Everyone always plays them at the same or relative age and they simply weren't. I don't know why I hadn't thought of that facet of the character before, but I loved the performance (even if I DID miss the high note at the end of Impossible Dream ). BTW, has anyone ever met him in real life? Dude is tall and ridiculous skinny. He looks more proportioned on stage. That voice, though, is a modern Broadway treasure.

I met him after Ragtime and my dad took a pic of him and me with his dog in his hand. My dad said.. now there is a cute couple. (trying to be all hip and okay with my gayness)... of course, I thought. oh if BSM knew how I felt about him! I think he is a sexy handsome god! And he was the best thing about Fraiser towards the end.

can we have a Stokes's fan thread?

He is my most beloved bway actor and singer. I listen to all his cast album. It is him who bring me into La Mancha. It is so sad that I first listen to La Mancha cast recording in Oct while it closed in Aug. That almost kills me.

This April I finally met him in D.C. Memorial Day concert. He is fabulous!

I love him too. His voice is GORGEOUS.

Whenever I listen to him sing The Impossible Dream...I get teary.

Love him in Ragtime too. I mean come on... Stokes AND Audra, does it get any better?

I have loved him in everything I have seen him in beginning with, "Kiss of the Spider Woman". The man gives me goosebumps when he sings be it live or on a recording. And you're right, it can't get better than him, Audra, (and I'll add) Marin.
