yes, but so did Good Vibrations and Brooklyn. TOUCHE!!!
and really, who listens to lyrics? the music rocks. the end.
Well, being that lyrics are half the score, silly, lots of people. *shrug* Whatever floats the proverbial boat. I just feel like half of the cd is pretty amazing, and half of it is really blah. I wish it were all in the "pretty amazing" category.
we'll have to agree to disagree i guess

Still stuck on track 12....love it! Played the CD all day at the beach today!
What do we know about the person who's singing for Amanda? She's pretty good.
E - If I were you, I wouldn't contradict my arguments, either.
oh, i could totally fight you. and TAKE YOU. i have what, an inch and a half on you? muahaha.
buuuut what would be the point?
*puts on boxing gloves*
I be kidding.
Does this mean I'm reffing? Okay, gloves on, no hitting below the belt!
i may only be an inch and a half taller, but my arms are way longer. i'll just put one hand on your forehead and hold you off while you swing aimlessly at me with boxing gloves the size of your head
*puts belt on head*
Well, then. Problem solved, according to Shira's stipulations.
So. Bright Lights...
yes. i had to turn it off because my roommate's working and now i'm sad
LOL! Emcee, is this the BWW Belt? Mentioned on 2 Threads already!
Etheb, you can still pet her on the head then!
Yes, just like Doug.
*pets*
i have my very own fangirl. i begged and begged santa to bring me one and then suddenly, on august 28, 2004 (santa was a bit off), there she was!
I'm still waiting for mine. I hope I love it as much as etheb does!
i don't seen any problems with the "lyrics." in fact, i haven't been able to listen to anything since i got this album. i've really gotten into the play's story. i went out and bought the book and it's amazing how much of the lyrics come word for word from the text. i also just saw the movie. michael j. fox was excellent, but he just didn't have the emotion patrick seems to have on the recording.
*note to self: buy the book and watch the movie*
where'd you get that pic in your av??? is it patrick? i can't even tell... if so, it must be from the original off-broadway production cuz he looks like a baby!
I think that's one of the old BLBC pics.
i have a number of pictures of him from the off broadway production saved on my computer. i have absolutely no idea where i got them now.
if you have the choice, read the book first. because i was halfway through it when i watched the movie. the movie follows the book so closely that now i keep picturing michael j. fox as jamie instead of patrick and it's driving me nuts!

Amanda's played by Sharon Leal. I only know a little about her, but one thing is that she played Mimi in Rent with the Angel cast, I think 1999-2000 or so? She also played Marilyn Sudor on Boston Public, and used to sing a lot on the show!
