I love the music, but had never heard of a staged production. Do you know if they're trying to get the show up and running again?

So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life.~Office Space
Yes, stop typin' and get the CD. Last I heard they were trying to develop a film version. Does this show have a book that accompanies it? Or is it sung through? The CD is amazing, but at the same time, its hard to understand the story just from that.
Yeah, there is a film of the the book, but it has nothing to do with the musical.
I don't know. There are things I really love about Bright Lights, mainly the cast. But I find a lot of the music to be RentLite, and since I'm not a big Renthead, it doesn't sit well for me. There are a few great songs, but some of the lyrics try too hard and some of the music is a bit odd.
