I think she would be great too! I would pay to see her.

Alot of her fans have gone. She has become the business joke. Seriously, she wouldn't sell THAT many tickets.

She may have lost a lot of her fans, but she still has a pretty big fanbase-- I was surprised to see her latest single sitting pretty at #1 on iTunes. I personally don't like Britney, but I know a lot of people who do.

And other people might just buy tickets out of morbid curiosity.

I don't understand why every time she goes to see a Broadway show the rumors starts up, with her new album she won't have time to do it for a while. But we'll see what happens.

"Alot of her fans have gone. She has become the business joke. Seriously, she wouldn't sell THAT many tickets."

Actually, Britney Spears may have lost her fringe fans, but her strong fans are insanely devoted - to an almost frightening degree. Ratings for the VMAs were up 25% and that is almost entirely due to her heavily promoted appearance. Her latest single was released on iTunes Tuesday, and was #1 20 hours later and has not moved. As soon as she starts releasing good videos, good albums and doing good promo, everyone will go back to liking her. I think a Broadway appearance would be a big big deal, probably right below a Julia Roberts level of hysteria.

But as I said before, she's doing a world tour next year. That leaves no time for Broadway until at least 2010, so this whole rumor doesn't really matter anyway.

Britney has a large fanbase, but I do not believe she has done anything but lipsync for the last x many years. No one lipsyncs on Broadway, or at least that I know about.
