Posted: 1/1/05 at 9:08pmIf they ever LET her do a musical...I think that'll be the funniest moment in Bway history. The girl can't sing. The girl can't act.

Posted: 1/1/05 at 9:11pmi cannot imagine her doing musical theater. Plus, London ( or England, whatever lol) is someplace small for musical theater? Oh, she also loves Wicked. Someone told me that in the back of her tour program she said "Be Wicked". I hope she doesnt get any ideas in her head...

I was actually watching something on her on VH1 (it was hilarious) and they were mentioning this letter that she put on her website called "the letter of truth". It was about things that happened to her in the past year and how she was inspired by "some musical" *shows a picture of the Wicked marquis*

Posted: 1/1/05 at 9:18pmYou do not need to be a rocket scientist to be a Broadway performer. Britney is a FABULOUS entertainer. In the right vehicle, she would be incredible. She has a complete stage presence and that counts for a lot!
#16re: Britney Spears' quote
Posted: 1/1/05 at 9:19pmEntertainer is one thing, singer and actress is another.

Posted: 1/1/05 at 9:21pmShe is a good entertainer. It's probably her best quality. However, she has no business on stage for anything other than her own concerts.

Posted: 1/1/05 at 9:22pmI don't see how casting her in Wicked would be any different from casting Joey McIntire in Wicked.

Amen, Ganesh! She may not be the greatest singer or actress, but she's an incredibly talented and fascinating entertainer/performer and she's doing her thing and rolling in more money than any Broadway actor can imagine. Let the girl dream!
Love Britney for who she is, don't hate her for what she isn't!
P.S.
I also saw her say in an interview on MTV back in 1999: "Before a show, I like to go into a quiet room and just scream. It opens up my vocal cords." Britney rocks!

Well, Littlefish, if she gets a job on Broadway it won't have anything to do with talent, as we've seen time and time again. It will be because she can sell tens of thousands of tickets. Can you?

Posted: 1/1/05 at 9:43pmBritney might have prescence and ticket sales (enough to get her a part with the producers) but can she really sing a lead role eight times a week? Can she act it? I doubt it. She might be the queen of pop, but I don't think she can handle broadway. She'd get cast, but she wouldn't deserve it.

I can!
Ok, maybe not...
