I love the National Lapoons, but I'm slightly skeptical about this hmm. Probably will be better than the recent film remake though

Who are David Rossmer and Steve Rosen?
Their BroadwayWorld credits list them as actors.
Actors turned composers?

They wrote The Other Josh Cohen, which was a rather forgettable and pedestrian musical that played Off-Broadway last year.

They both wrote and starred (as the title role) in "The Other Josh Cohen".

They are two good friends of mine. Wonderful, talented men who work non stop. They have performed The Other Josh Cohen all over the country. Nothing pedestrian about it. Steve co-wrote "The Secret of My Success" which is premiering next Spring in Chicago. I have heard several of these songs from Vacation and they are awesome, catchy, and fun.

Wasn't the show from 2012 and the one that was playing recently was a revival? I haven't heard the music, but it seem to have done decent off-Broadway so I'm curious what these guys can do.

I mean revival might not be the right word. Same leads, but different production from what I can tell.

It's been done four times, with tweaks to each production.

I rather enjoyed The Other Josh Cohen but with the lead producer and a very obvious cast this has Getting The Band Back Together part 2 written all over it

Posted: 8/8/19 at 2:13amThe only thing this project really has going for it is the fact a female director is currently attached, and I’m not sure she will see it through to opening night. Otherwise, there is a sense of scraping the barrel with this production...

These writers are also 2 of the 3 people that would host the improv show “Don’t quit your night job” right? With all the broadway guests around 2007-2010?
That gives me high hopes, those shows were always hilarious.
And one of them was in Peter and the starcatcher too right?
I guess I’m asking the one poster who said they know them if I’m remembering correctly.

How does female director = Quality? There are plenty of terrible female directors, too!

Yes, they loved doing that so much, and yes Steve was "Smee" in Peter and the Starcatcher. They are both incredibly talented, funny writers.
