Broadway 'friends' songs

I got the idea that for graduation this year, that I would make some of my friends a cd with songs about friendship on them. If anyone has any ideas about what to put on it tell me. I would perfer only broadway songs on this cd, but tell me ANY ideas that you come up with.

The only songs I have so far are:
"For Good"
"Graduation" by Vitamin C

"Till Him" from THE PRODUCERS.

"Friendship (Just the Perfect Blendship)" from DuBARRY WAS A LADY.

"What is a Friend For?" from HOUSE OF FLOWERS.

"Here's to Us" from ANKLES AWEIGH

"Together, Wherever We Go" from GYPSY

Technically not a friendship song per se, but it is a very strong "togetherness" song as the theme is friendship. I think it make a great graduation song: "Our Time" from Merrily We Roll Along by Stephen Sondheim.

My friends and I had actually made a tape of songs (yes I said tape, not CD...I'm old lol) back when we graduated from Junior High. Here are the songs we used...since I just went upstairs and found the tape:

3. Remember Me This Way- by Jordon Hill (I think that's their name)

7. My One True Friend- by Bette Midler
8. The theme song from the Golden Girls
9. At the Beginning- from the movie "Anastasia"
10. Friendship- from "Dubarry Was A Lady"
11. The theme song from Perfect Strangers
12. The theme songs from Friends
13. Wind Beneath My Wings- by Bette Midler
14. I'll Remember- by Madonna
15. Friends- by Bette Midler
16. You've Got A friend- by Carol King
17. Time of Your Life- from the movie "Dirty Dancng"

lol I know I'm not really that old. I just meant it as a joke considering that some young kids today consider tapes to be antique, and they only know of CD's and MP3's, and I-Pod.

CJR.. Surprised you didn't suggest "I Can't Do It Alone" ...

Hahhaha Actually, I was thinking of adding "Nowadays"... put it on a friendship type cd I made for a friend of mine when she was leaving for school and having a complete panic attack about moving away from everyone.


And since when is "Time of Your Life" called "Good Riddance"? Did I miss something? hahhaha
