Hi All
Am visiting NYC next April and planning on getting to as many shows as possible. Are N2N and In the Heights still due to be playing then as fa as anyone knows?
Cheers:)

Posted: 8/30/09 at 1:22pmWe are still dealing with the end of the summer numbers, but right now attendance percentage at Next to Normal has been better than that at In the Heights. Yes the grosses aren't as high, but Next to Normal is in a smaller theatre and costs less to run.

Posted: 8/30/09 at 9:28pmI'm pretty sure Heights will still be open because it has already recouped. It also has the same producers as RENT and they managed to keep RENT open for 12 years even though it didn't really do that well sometimes.

Posted: 8/31/09 at 12:12amNot to be snippy here, but just because Rent's producers managed to keep one show open for 12 years, does not mean that every show they produce will follow suit. Kevin McCollum has produced The Drowsy Chaperone, White Christmas, High Fidelity and [title of show], none of which were open 12 years. While In The Heights is a fantastic show, it wont run for 12 years because a previous produced show did.

Posted: 8/31/09 at 8:11amIn the Heights will be running. It's doing fine now. Better than next To Normal, it has way more seats to fill and it has recouped. It was doing great this summer. The show was sold out on many weekday during the summer and if it wasn't sold out only a small number of seats were open.
