Is Godspell still in the air? I thought that fell through. I hope so.

Also, Enter Laughing, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, A Life in the Theatre, Yank!, Priscilla, and Zorba have already been confirmed.

We are also forgetting about the new musical Houdini, starring Hugh Jackman.

Ken Davenport announced that he was getting a new production of Godspell together, different then the one in limbo forever, for this upcoming season.

And those shows you listed have been announced, but tons of shows announce they are coming to Broadway and never make it. Confirmed to me means they announce a theater or at least a deal with a landlord (i.e. "will appear at a Shubert house TBA").

I'm just upset about Godspell. It wasn't a good musical to begin with, so how do they intend on drawing a crowd? Star power, maybe?

I would have loved to see Godspell with Gavin Creel and Diana DeGarmo. Too bad it fell through. Wonder who will star in this new production.

do we really need to have a show about the Nutty Professor? there has to be something more creative. getting tired of movies becoming broadway shows.

The city center encores production on THE WIZ is aiming for a fall 2010 opening. They are currently in talks with Usher about replacing Orlando jones(thank god). No word on if ashanti has been replaced yet. And minskys is currently looking for a theatre for a fall opening.

And I'm not making this up. Heard it from the LD. who knows the validity, it's just the word from the creative team.
