The poll I ran so far shows neck-and-neck between The King and I, and Fun Home.

The 2014/2015 season is certainly not an exciting musical season. Side Show was the only production I was looking forward to and it did not disappoint. Everything else feels so middling Fun Home is a beautiful show - saw it at The Public - not interested in paying Broadway prices to see it again. Honeymoon was fun in NJ as part of a subscription series but I have no interest in seeing it again. It Shoula Been was a tedious mess in New Jersey and I'm shocked its opening in New York. The King And I belongs in a subscription series so it should do well but I have no interest in yet another revival of it. If my grandmother were alive I might have taken her but her whole generation is gone. An American In Paris May suprise but again the source material feels dated and isn't tickling my pocket book. That leaves Something Rotten which I have hope for only because I know nothing about it and it's an original and The Visit should it come in as the only musicals of interest but nothing Id buy in advance.
The play's hold more interest this year The Audience, Wolf Hall and Hand To God join Curious Incident as the only shows I'm excited enough about to buy tickets in advance.
PS The Last Ship and On The Town while very good were nothing special to spread word of mouth about.

Neverland, Doc Z, and Rebecca, thanks very much.
Speaking of which, the producers of Rebecca ventured somewhat perkily onto Facebook on New Year’s Eve. I wonder was that the glühwein, or might there be a development.
