Broadway ADD, if that were a real disease I would have it. Whenever a teacher in one of my classes says something and it reminds me of a showtune, I start humming it to myself. Then that causes me to lose my train of thought completely and I stop focusing on what my teacher is talking about.

Examples:
Today my world history teacher was talking about matchmaking in ancient times and I am writing notes. Suddenly I start singing "Matchmaker matchmaker make me a match..." to myself. I totally forgot what I was doing.

The other day my world history teacher said analsys and I start humming.."Dont be offended by my frank analsys.."

This has happened so many other times. Who else would have this diagnosis with me?

What is Broadway? A street? Some say it's a street. Some say it is the best street in the world. Others think its terrible. That's the beauty of it, it's terribly beautiful. Some hate it and don't know why. Others love it and don't know why. That's what makes it so wonderful, it's a mystery.

I have it! I've had it for about 3 years! A few years ago, in Religion class, my teacher named all these prophets (Amos, Ezekiel, etc), and immediately Chicago (Amos Hart, Ezekiel from Cell Block Tango), came to mind.

There are so many other examples, it would take days to type them all!!

I have my books and my poetry to protect me...

I do that a lot too... Not sure if I would qualify for the 'disease' because usually I can keep the Broadway connections to myself and continue was I was doing

My teacher said something about having a BA in English, and at that point I went into Avenue Q land. Then another teacher said something about a boa, which reminded me of Barrett Foa, and you can see where that went...

I'm like, Stage Four Broadway ADD.

Today my World History teacher said something about Joseph and she made me sing the entire Any Dream Will Do in front of the class, because I started singing it out loud.

One of the MANY sad cases.

"The stage is where I live and come alive and act out all the things that go on in my life. It's not just what I do for a living, it's my shrink and my love affair. No one in my life has ever or ever will kiss me on the mouth like this lover called my relationship with my performance."

This happens to me all the time. Sometimes I even sing aloud, in the strangest of places.
Theory prof: I have confidence.......
Me: I HAVE CONFIDENCE IN SUNSHINE!!

One time I was with another person who sang the song triggered in my mind aloud. I looked at her and said "my God, you speak my language!"

My History teacher, out of thin air, used the phrase "c'est moi" today.

So, of course, I interuppted class with a (rousing) rendetion of "C'est Moi"

We are watching INTO THE WOODS in English, and I am scaring some people. they think that my knowing the whole libretto forwards and backwards is weird. Who woulda thought? re: Broadway ADD

And I got some strange looks during the wtiche's "rap".
but my teacher loves that I know the whole show.

Ways to annoy people: Arrive at a meeting late, say you're sorry, but you didn't have time for lunch, and you're going to be nibbling during the meeting. Then eat raw potatoes. Ask people what gender they are,or Disagree strongly with everything anybody says:)
