Posted: 12/11/08 at 12:58pmSigh. That.....should be funnier than it is....
re: Broadway Abridged: ROAD SHOW#3
Posted: 12/11/08 at 12:59pmWas that supposed to be funny?
re: Broadway Abridged: ROAD SHOW#4
Posted: 12/11/08 at 1:41pmI though it had it's moments, I loved the end and the cocaine bits. I don't think BwayAbridged has had a truly hilarious script in a long time.
"If artists were machines, then I'm just a different kind of machine...I'd probably be a toaster. Actually, I'd be a toaster oven because they're more versatile. And I like making grilled cheese" -Regina Spektor
"That's, like, twelve shows! ...Or seven." -Crazy SA Fangirl
"They say that just being relaxed is the most important thing [in acting]. I take that to another level, I think kinda like yawning and...like being partially asleep onstage is also good, but whatever." - Sherie Rene Scott

Posted: 12/11/08 at 1:55pmYou're right. I mean, the old ones had me peeing myself. I wish he came into our lives sooner.
re: Broadway Abridged: ROAD SHOW#8
Posted: 12/11/08 at 4:43pmI love the Little Mermaid one. I think it may have almost made my $30 student rush ticket worth it.
re: Broadway Abridged: ROAD SHOW#9
Posted: 12/11/08 at 5:01pmYeah, so not funny.
re: Broadway Abridged: ROAD SHOW#10
Posted: 12/11/08 at 7:56pmIt wasn't funny because Road Show was actually...good.

I thought it was absolutely hilarious, however I haven't seen Road Show. I hope it isn't that accurate because I can't see how Road show can be *that* bad.
The comment about "Bounce" at the beginning of the Assassins abridged was also hilarious.

Posted: 12/11/08 at 9:39pmI'm dissapointed there was NO reference made to the sharing of the sleeping bag bit.

Fair enough. I wrote this one in 15-20 minutes the night of the show, right before going to sleep. I didn't even edit.
Everybody on this thread is right about everything they said.
Except jv92, you're wrong.
re: Broadway Abridged: ROAD SHOW#15
Posted: 12/12/08 at 4:35pmI'd love to see him take on SHREK or IN THE HEIGHTS.
re: Broadway Abridged: ROAD SHOW#17
Posted: 12/12/08 at 6:59pmI can't prove your opinion wrong. It's an opinion. That's just absurd. Why are you provoking me?

not particularly funny, and I thought Road Show was great, you can't just say jv92 was wrong about having an opinion on a show
re: Broadway Abridged: ROAD SHOW#19
Posted: 12/12/08 at 7:10pmJust read Little Mermaid and I thought it was funny, and I actually like the show.

Nah, I was kidding. I don't think he's wrong about liking Road Show, that's an opinion.
I don't think people find it unfunny *because* Road Show is good, however. That would be akin to saying that anything that makes fun of something Good won't ever be funny.
re: Broadway Abridged: ROAD SHOW#21
Posted: 12/12/08 at 7:29pmSeriously...look at the other shows he's written about on his website. Most are amazing. Something doesn't have to be bad to be made fun of.
