I'll ask again. What did they show during the first 5 minutes.

Did anyone catch what Raul said when he introduced himself? I caught "I'm Raul Esparza and I...." but then he mumbled.
I couldn't understand a word he was saying.

The new plays that are currently/or going to be on Broadway soon.
He said:
"I'm Raul Esparza and I'll be out of the show this afternoon."
Heh. He'd better not be.
The award for the cutest goes to Sutton, Michael Arden, and Raul.
Arden is BEYOND adorable.

HOW DID I MISS THIS?
Is it running again? Did they show any show footage of anything? Interviews? Especially of A CHORUS LINE?
And did anyone tape this?
Sorry for all of the frantic questions... I agree, Sutton just IS adorable. So was Kelli O'Hara last year!
I have never seen The Wedding Singer, but is the character played by the American Idol guy supposed to be that stiff and awkward?
I saw someone else play the part, and he played it pretty awkward as well.
There was a nice mix of press footage, rehearsal footage and interview snippets.

Bit of a threadjack, but... you do know that the 'American Idol guy' was Roger in RENT before he even auditioned for American Idol? He's not just a famous person capitalizing on his success. He's been exposed to theatre before, and pretty thoroughly, if I do say so.
I thought the show was pretty uneven, but Sutton was charming as ever and I sat up straight and paid attention. :)

Anyone who taped it going to put it online?
I'm pretty much dying to see it.
I taped it, but by taped, I mean taped, as in videotaped (VHS - VCR ... anyone remember those?)
If I knew how to transfer a video tape to the computer, I would.

The reason he looks so stiff is because of the part they showed. It's how that part of the dance goes and what he is suppose to do.

Thanks for answering about The Wedding Singer. I was thinking about seeing it before it closes and just didn't want to if one of the main characters was as bad as that clip, taken completely out of context it seems, suggested. (maybe they should have chosen a different one) I have absolutely nothing against American Idol. (well, the performers at least, they are just following a dream)
Since Disney really does own ABC television, is it any surprise that their shows were featured in the coverage?

Is a DVD compatible with a computer? So if you burned a disk, could you put it up online somewhere?
Maybe that's what you can do, Nathan Lane Stalker! Oh, and I love you icon!
*bump* I second that idea, haha.

I enjoyed this show. I wish they had made it an hour and given more time to all of the new shows. But it was still good and got me excited for the new season.

oh! I don't know how to switch from my Tivo box to a DVD. Sorry.
