Curious as to what exactly happens at this event? Auctions, etc? I will be in town that weekend wondering if it's worth the while?

Various Broadway actors parade some cute dogs around, Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore describe the dogs and it's fun. There's a lot of standing around, though.

It's super fun! I went last year and had a great time. I mean, don't get me wrong it's kind of silly but if you get a kick out of seeing Bway actors in the flesh (while holding PUPPIES!!!) it's definitely worth checking out. Plus, it is for a good and super cute cause!
