what are some of the things you've seen go wrong on Broadway? my favorite happened in Wicked. JLT had just taken over the part of G(a)linda. Jennifer and Idina were doing the scene when they have a little brawl, and Glinda flings her wand around karate-style. the wand caught on her dress and fell plum on the floor. JLT bent down to scoop it up and said, "Ya scared yet?" Idina, without missing a beat, said, "what do YOU think, pixie?!"
it was an amazing cover.
also, when I saw the Producers for the second time, Hunter Foster was Leo Bloom, and when he is hanging on the back of the door and Ulla shuts it, he fell. he wasn't supposed to fall yet, but he did. he and Ulla looked at each other for a while, attempting to hide laughter, and Ulla had to turn around because she had tears streaming down her face. finally, Hunter said, "uhhh, thank you Ulla!", kissed her quickly, and they jumped a few lines so that it made sense.
in the same show, Max threw the black cat during the song about it being bad luck to say "good luck" on opening night...well, the cat smacked into the ladder, bounced off, and landed in the orchestra pit. it wasn't a very smooth show, but it sure gave me a laugh!!!

Those are great!! The only ones i've seen have been posted about many many times...
There was one time when David Ayers was swinging in on the Rope in Act 2 of Wicked and i guess he lost his footing as he landed and fell on his face!! But he kept in character and said in a very fiyero-like way, "yes...Im OK...NOW let the green girl go!"
Everyone on stage completely lost it though.
i love when this stuff happens!

This is the best part of live theatre. Anything could happen...
One of my favorites was in Ragtime. Tateh is singing OUR CHILDREN with Mother and the poor man's mustache was coming unglued and falling off and fluttering with every breathe that he sang with. It never fell completely off but it was dangling and they did a fine time just continuing the song as if nothing was the matter. It was hilarious but at the same time I felt SO bad for him!

Wicked: Idinas bed in the dorm room setting up for "Popular" didn't come on. THey didn't really break character but all of a sudden Kristin yells "Where's your bed?!?!". I was crying from laughter. THen of course Kristin pranced around untill it actually came on. SHe said it was the 2nd time thats happened.
