The original production of Lady Be Good! and . . . . Follies.

GO!

(And that's Stephen Sondheim's Follies, not the Ziegfeld Follies)

LaChuissa wrote Light in the Piazza
...OOPS
My Bad...Guitell wrote it...Okay again...

"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive. "Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot." "No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one." Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.

Okay, even if this wasn't the original rules, I'm proud this was the first one I could do so I'm going to do it anyway.

Carol Channing starred in Hello Dolly! as did Ethel Merman who starred in Gypsy as did Bernadette Peters.

"If there was a Mount Rushmore for Broadway scores, "West Side Story" would be front and center. It snaps, it crackles it pops! It surges with a roar, its energy and sheer life undiminished by the years" - NYPost reviewer Elisabeth Vincentelli

FOAnatic,

CLOSE . . .

But no cigar.

Patti LuPone never starred in Company, she just narrated a concert.

And Stephen Sondheim wrote both music AND lyrics for Follies.

But VERY VERY close.

OR.. Natalie Venetia Belcon from AVENUE Q was in the first national tour of ONCE ON THIS ISLAND, written by Ahrens & Flaherty who wrote RAGTIME.

Another Secret Garden/Producers link: Roger Bart played Dickon in the first national tour of Secret Garden, then Carmen Ghia in Producers.

Here's a new one: Connect Diane Keaton to Christopher Walken using BROADWAY credits only! Updated On: 2/10/05 at 01:50 PM

Christopher Walken to Diane Keaton (using only Broadway credits, because Jon is evil!):

Christopher Walken did Enemies with Barbara Cook,
who did She Loves Me with Jack Cassidy,
who did Fade Out-Fade In with Virginia Allen,
who did Camelot with Steve Curry,
who was in the original cast of Hair with Diane Keaton.

How about Damn Yankees to Fiddler on the Roof?

Does "Assassins" count? Doesn't it have to be strictly Broadway connections...and that Assassins was off-Broadway. Just wondering.

...if so the next two are "Sunset Boulevard" and "Sly Fox."
