I'm considering going to this but I've never been before and am just wondering whether the two shows are exactly the same or is one the award show the other a skit show? Any insights?

No, the show is the same both days (unless Bob Saget hosts again and is asked to tone down the incredibly filthy banter from the Monday to the Tuesday show, like with the last Gypsy of the Year competition), but the Tuesday show includes the awards at the end.

The Tuesday show is usually better. Occasionally there are celebrity guests who are only available for Tuesday. And you get to see the awards. I think the audience reaction is a little more spontaneous on Monday though, because nobody has seen any of it yet.

Dover: I like to play a guessing game as to who will be the presenters of the prizes. This year I'm going with Terrence Howard or James Earl Jones, Patrick Stewart and Patti LuPone. Other possibles include Morgan Freeman, Frances McDormand, Nathan Lane, Mario Lopez, Laurence Fishburne, Laurie Metcalf or Peter Gallagher.

bestinshow2: The party was fun. I was thinking we should've all tried to crash the In the Heights opening party. Oddly, Josh Lucas showed up at the party, sat in a corner for a little while and then left. Also got to see Brian Cox, Rufus Sewell and Tom Stoppard. And Dee Hoty for some reason.

Digging this thread up from the deep: can anyone tell me if the $20 tix are ok? I have a friend in from out of town who I will have to bring so I'm on a budget. Are rear side seats of the orch and/or rear mezz seats at the Minskoff doable?
