The Broadway flea market seems to happen every year in September. Last year it was on a sunday. Did anyone go last year? It was great!

my favorite thing from last years Flea Market.
What time are you getting to SITA Sammy? Im thinking of rushing chicago tickets first (because I clearly need help) and then coming down with a friend of mine....

#35I was planning to attend...
Posted: 5/27/03 at 8:23pm...but now that I know RobD will be there, I don't know if I can. I mean, I can act fairly composed around TSMrW, TAMrMcC, and Maestro Keith Lockhart, but Rob is another matter completely. Every time I see his picture on another posting, I feel myself becoming light-headed. If I were to meet the fellow in the flesh I might melt completely. Will anyone be there with smelling salts?

I went last year! :)
I thought the auction was the most exciting part. When Jennifer Holliday started singing in order to raise the stakes, OMG! I was right in the front too.

In the inevitable stampede toward the luscious Rob, you might be run over and knocked out cold by someone more amorous than you.
In any case,I'll be happy to administer first aid to you so you can devote yourself to Rob.
So is Rob deserving of his own intials like TAMrMcC and TSMrW?

#44Yup, smelling salts
Posted: 5/29/03 at 9:58pmIt's the latest trend. Better than marijuana. More effective than Prozac. More enjoyable than Tylenol. You should try them. Really!
#45Auction and more flea market shtuff

Yep - the auction is the middle of the alley. It starts towards the end of the day (around 5 I think.) I'm always too poor to ever bid on anything but it's a lot of fun to watch.
The day of the flea market is always a long one for me. I get there as early as I can and stay till everyone goes home. You can get some really great stuff when you get there early. Costumes and props go very quickly. But as stated in an earlier post, you get things for a steal at the end of the day. Some stuff I got last year towards the end were Bway Cares Xmas CDs (2 for $5), a Tony Winners Tshirt ($3) and a bag of 35 Playbills from 1960 - 1990 ($7).
Can't wait!
