I think if you view ot thru yahoo you don't have to subscribe. It is part of their entertainment section.

My god the poor box office is taking a severe winter bashing. You poor people out there in the east; maybe one positive from this brutal cold weather is that there must be some great discount coupons out there to get you some excellent seats! Bundle up and go to the theater!!!!!!!

Playbill.com lists the grosses each week sometime Tuesday afternoon.

As you can see, they're are all down a lot, except for The Producers. Frigid weather and post holiday blahs take their toll. Also today's snowstorm, on a matinee day, won't help this weeks figures either.

WOW

I am in shock ... well, not really, but I do think it's important to note that the weather in NYC is not up to par. It's a bit chilly and snowy.

Let's just hope they can pack the houses once the snow clears.

re: re: WOW

theatremafia, it's weird because Lion king is one of those shows that everyone goes to. It's also the fact that Producers didn't overgross Lion King for awhile and when it did it was only temporary (transalation: when lane and broderick left). And for Wicked after just after three months to outgross one of the most unout grossable show for the past 7 years (yes 7) is just quite a shock.
