If the Minskoff approach later this year doesn't work, I'd expect those numbers for a while.

Posted: 2/4/06 at 6:31amI just had to bump this up so everyone can see how WIW closed. It was ALL here, As Margo so easily pointed it out. Forget braking even, It was losing $$$ to keep the show open, and see what happened. Look at these posts each week, Discuss them here, and you wont have plans or advance tickets without a chance in hades of seeing the show. I suppose this way, in a way, we are being wise consumers. It ain't always easy to get to NYC for a lot of folks - Even if they are living not too far away.

Posted: 2/4/06 at 12:11pmA few pages back, someone mentioned Jerry Springer - well I doubt that'll make it to broadway - the UK tour is just starting and is selling VERY poorly - I'm talking if you know the right people you get get tickets for £10. My local theatre is running a competition among the ushers to see who can get the most in at £10 a head. And other places are doing massive discounts too (tour top price is around £30). I'd say the US is unlikely. Too controversial - look at the complaints the BBC got when they screened it.
