If the Minskoff approach later this year doesn't work, I'd expect those numbers for a while.

I just had to bump this up so everyone can see how WIW closed. It was ALL here, As Margo so easily pointed it out. Forget braking even, It was losing $$$ to keep the show open, and see what happened. Look at these posts each week, Discuss them here, and you wont have plans or advance tickets without a chance in hades of seeing the show. I suppose this way, in a way, we are being wise consumers. It ain't always easy to get to NYC for a lot of folks - Even if they are living not too far away.

A few pages back, someone mentioned Jerry Springer - well I doubt that'll make it to broadway - the UK tour is just starting and is selling VERY poorly - I'm talking if you know the right people you get get tickets for £10. My local theatre is running a competition among the ushers to see who can get the most in at £10 a head. And other places are doing massive discounts too (tour top price is around £30). I'd say the US is unlikely. Too controversial - look at the complaints the BBC got when they screened it.
