True.
Well, Spring Awakening is a tough sell as is. I think it's going to have to rely on word-of-mouth because of some of the song titles and whatnot. Although, I guess they could perform "I Don't Do Sadness" on TV?

I sure hope Spring Awakening succeeds. I loved it off broadway and can't wait to see it on Sat, then again with friends (an Xmas give from me to them) in the beginning of Jan.
They definately need NATIONAL exposure. Hopefully the reviews this weekend after the openning on Sunday will help.

Do u think The Pirate Queen will make it when it comes?
It looks like the crowds aren't trying anything new. Let's see how the next weeks come. I know that April and May and all of those other months are new broadway shows and people go to see more.

What's your basis? Grey Gardens, Mary Poppins, and A Chrous Line are all doing great business.

I just wanted to congragulate GREY GARDENS! I really wanted it to suceed on Broadway, but had my doubts, so it is really nice to see such good numbers for such a small and less-known show. Yeah, hopefully it will have life after Christine Ebersole lives! But anyways, just wanted to say congragulations :)
Yeah.

Spring Awakening...that is bad...
I just did calculations, and roughly, if all performances were sold evenly, only about 12 rows were filled at each performance.
Hopefully raves + Soon-to-come Christmas/New Years Rush = Word of Mouth for that show to get through January-February for strong spring/summer business.
