"Thanks, fvalle24, for being a [tos]ser with a SENSE OF REALITY"

No problem. I LOVE the show, but sadly BROADWAY is a just another capitalist business venture. IMO, I think the time for [tos] is now, and the venue is perfect. I think the problem lies in how to get people in there. I think [tos] is a breath of fresh air. I think they should take the same approach that 'Rent' took back when it opened.

In my opinion...TOS needs to work the hell out of some TV spots and get some billboards out there!

I really hope that [tos] is still around by the end of August so that I can see it...

As far as (tos) lowering prices, you can get a discount or half price ticket for any show.
Part of the producing of a show is can it make it with these discounts?
If (tos) was getting at least half for every ticket they would be making money.
Everyone involved knew it was a hard sell, even Tippy Turtle.
Do you really think pictures on a bus would sell this special show.
Well maybe pics of Jeffy's pecs.
Maybe they can get schools, high schools and colleges in, I think they would get it.
I trust they have a plan.

I totally vote for Jeff's Pecs on the side of busses! And I think you're right CurtainPullDowner, another reason why I think their web campaign is catchy (I think so) is because you see the characters, and they're personable and funny! It's not a "recognizable commodity" that can have posters, although I think it would help.

I know [tos] already offers discounts through TKTS and codes, but I think their base price should be about 50 bucks per ticket. Truly, if starving artist are inspired by this show, I'm sure they can't afford 100 dollar seats; they're starving after all aren't they?

fvalle, if you pull a curtain downey, you could lose your job.
If you can downer it up and down, you got a job in the theatre for life.
Lowering the top price also lowers the discount.
BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (I know apples and oranges) ran like 12 years on discounts.

Being in the Lyceum is also a safety cushion, to a fault.

ha-ha I just noticed the type! (and it's revised!)

I guess we can about it every week, offering suggestions and state what they should and should not do. Only time will tell. I really hope though that [tos] prevails.
