Posted: 3/6/09 at 1:40pmI'm considering going to this, and I'm just wondering how it works. Do the performers have a pre-set list of things the audience can choose from? Or can the audience write down songs they would like to hear and the performers pick which they do? Is it a good evening? Thanks!

When you enter, you get a list of five songs per performer and you have to choose which three songs you want him / her to sing. Then they add everything up and the most requested songs are performed. They did add two or even three songs to the performance that weren't on the "ballot".
I went last Sunday and had a wonderful time. And the line up for the next show looks great! Enjoy!

It's lots of fun; very casual and laid-back, with some trivia and anecdotes thrown in and kickass performances by really great singers. And because it's so casual and laid-back, they really let loose and try things they probably wouldn't risk in a more formal setting (ie, Jack Noseworthy doing Fiddler choreography during "Shiksa Goddess.")
Check it out if you can. It's totally worth a visit.
"Well, maybe they should."
