Hello, everyone!
I'd like to meet up with other theatre enthusiasts, in town or out of towners. I'm in the city a lot, going to see shows. Sometimes I buy my tickets ahead of time, and sometimes I go in on the fly and take my chances with a lottery or TKTS.
Sometimes I thought that maybe there were enough of us around on the same day, we could increase each other's chances for the lottery. I'm trying to come with a fair way of doing it.
I'd like to do this especially for out-of-towners, because sometimes the lottery is the only way for them to see a show. I don't want to abuse the system... just once in awhile increase someone's chance of seeing the show.

Only to touch base with members and plan events. It would be harder to plan and coordinate if people that aren't members show up to scheduled events.

You're inviting all of Broadwayworld to join you, that's well over 1000 people. Bring some friends with you for help, don't make a group on the internet.

Since for just about every lottery I've seen the winner can only buy a maximum of two tickets, you can really only "buddy" up with one person for each lottery which doubles your chances of winning, but doesn't have an exponential impact like you suggest. I really don't think there's anything wrong with this. It's a way to help yourself and someone else without really harming any other entrants since presumably each person was going to enter as a single. Therefore, same number of entrants and at most, one fewer seat available to the rest of the lotto crowd. I really don't think that's unfair or gaming the system. The system is actually biased for people who show up in pairs in the first place.
