Posted: 6/28/09 at 10:05pmBroadway on Broadway is, usually, the week before Flea Market. Flea Market is on September 27 so Broadway on Broadway would be September 20

Posted: 8/27/09 at 6:45pmI read somewhere that this was on September 13th but I cant find anywhere about what time it starts. Does anyone know when it starts and usually how long it goes for? I am going to be in the city to see Bye Bye Birdie at 2 so I would love to come in early and catch this since I never been. Thanks!

Posted: 8/27/09 at 6:52pmIt's the 13th at 11:30 am. I was also curious how long does it normally last? And, for those who've been before, how early do you have to get there to get a decent spot?

It's kind of insane. If you want a good spot, plan on being in line by 5 or 6 am.

Posted: 8/27/09 at 7:49pmIt was about 2 hours or so last year, if I can recall. Lots of fun, looking forward to it this year. I wonder who is hosting...the past few years they've gotten some of the more "hollywood" actors who were on broadway at the time to host. Last year was Drew Lachey...

Posted: 8/27/09 at 10:59pmHonestly? Probably not. I went for about 5 years in a row, and never got there later that about 6am and there was already a huge line.

You don't have to be in the front to see & hear.
It depends how close you want to be, 6Am is a bit early for me.

Posted: 8/28/09 at 12:49amI've gone the past two years, and they did it differently each time. Both years I showed up around 8am, the first year they did that dress up line, and I got in the front through that. The second year (last year), it was kind of a free for all, I lucked out on the west side near the barricades on 45th I think. The trick is to figure out how they are going to fill the middle front section.
