#2Broadway Poll: Favorite Fall 2025 Show?
Posted: 7/24/25 at 2:01am

Won't know my fave until I actually see them.  But have tickets for Chess, Ragtime, Queen of Versailles, & Oedipus.

I'm also have plans to see a couple Spring shows that will still be open, & Arabella at the Met.

My time is limited with just 5 days.  The other plays didn't interest me.

I realize the poll is just about Broadway but, if the Tom Hanks play at the Shed had a mid-week matinee on a Thursday I might have tried to fit it into my schedule. But for me, seeing him on stage isn't a priority.

I am interested in seeing what the weekly schedule is for The Baker's Wife off-Bwy at CSC, and who will be in that cast.

There are a few interesting people in the cast of Tartuffe at NYTW... Amber Grey, David Cross, Bianca Del Rio.  But again no weekly schedule yet.

Last year I had 6.5 days & was making changes up until about 2 weeks before my visit based upon reviews in previews.  I dropped 2 shows from my itinerary & saw things I originally had no plans on seeing, including what turned out to be the best show of the trip.

This year the most expensive ticket is for Jonathan Groff in Just in Time.

If - heaven forbid - any "above the title" performers need to call out I will definitely be getting refunds and attempting last minute plans to see alternate shows.

Of the listed shows in the poll, the only 2 that there is no way in heck I would ever see are the two glorified tour stops of Beatlejuice & Mama Mia.  I saw the BJ tour in January at home.  It was a live performance in a theatre,  an opportunity to get out of the house in the Winter, and I managed to find a discount code.
