Hey all,
I am a college student graduating next summer. I am planning on being a producer either for film or theater. I plan on becoming a production assistant and working my way up the ranks. I was wondering if anyone had some advice and such for me. Everyone here seems to know a lot more than I do:) When I graduate I will have a degree in Communications. Now I don't have a huge bkg in theater...then again I haven't a huge bkg at all...will that hinder anything. The only theater I've done was in High School where I was a stage hand and prop master. Thanks!

Get connection...if you know the right people, the production will be much easier already. And...to get to know people, you have to be interesting (presentable), so I am still working, studying, and learning...

It's also about, once you get the investment, making sure that everything is running smoothly, on schedule and on budget. You are basically the CEO of the production.
