"Famous" is a relative term because fame can come and go. But if you are asking the names of people that many would know easily, I would put my vote in for...
Daisy Eagan
Andrea McCardle
Sarah Jessica Parker

A couple come to mind...
Johnny Borden (Bye Bye Birdie, Oliver!)
Freddy Michaels (Mame)
Andrea McArdle (Annie)
Daisy Eagan (The Secret Garden)
And I don't know who they are, but I love the little kids who fight while singing "If You Haven't Got a Sweetheart" from A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. ("You've got the words cockeyed!" "No, I haven't!")

Posted: 9/28/03 at 5:17pmShe's not terribly famous yet, but I'd like to add Anna Kendrick (High Society, Fritzi in Camp, also sang Life Upon the Wicked Stage in the My Favorite Broadway: The Leading Ladies concert alongside the Kit Kat Girls). This gal is going places.

How about adults who became famous playing kids?
Julie Harris, 24 playing 13 in MEMBER OF THE WEDDING.
Mary Martin as Peter Pan.

SueleenGay..
Minor correction tho - Mary Martin had been in a few shows including South Pacific, so I am not sure it would be safe to say Peter Pan made her famous.. infamous perhaps..

Posted: 9/28/03 at 5:53pmOh, Craig, I know that, but it was a role she made famous. I knew someone would call me on that little tid bit, but can you think on any more?

We could add Marissa Jaret Winokur becoming famous playing Tracy I suspect
Kristen Chenoweth playing Sally
Do both those work?
