Broadway Ringtones

FYI for all you Cingular users -- they have so many Broadway ringtones. I have Rent's "Seasons of Love" for when my best friend calls, and Avenue Q's "If You were Gay" when another friend calls. You can download tons of songs from Rent, Sound of Music, Avenue Q, The Boy from Oz, Spamalot, Hair and Wicked. So for all of you Cingular customers out there, get yourself a Broadway ringtone. I love my phone now.
"Champagne makes me drowsy!"

WORDS TO LIVE BY:

As we stumble along on life's funny journey. As we stumble along into the blue. We look here and we look there, seeking answers anywhere. Never sure of where to turn or what to do.

Still we bumble our way through life's crazy labyrinth. Barely knowing left from right nor right from wrong. And the best that we can do is hope a blue bird, will sing his song as we stumble along.

Where do you download them from?

re: Broadway Ringtones

I have always been a bit let down with cingular ringtones. It gives me hope that once I purchase my Razor I can make my own!

re: Broadway Ringtones

I have Seasons of Love for my phone! :) It was the only show I could find though- next to Wicked.

re: Broadway Ringtones

I just went to the Cingular web site and clicked on ringtones. Then you click Movies/TV (which doesn't make sense to me, but whatev). If you keep clicking next page at the bottom of the list, there are tones of them. I have a RAZR, but I don't see an option to make my own. I didn't buy the one with iTunes though. Sad.

re: Broadway Ringtones

I am pretty sure that you connect your phone with bluetooth to the computer and then go from there?

re: Broadway Ringtones

For the RAZR, you can buy a program that makes you able to hook your phone to the computer and put your own songs on it.

For example, my main ringtone is the end of "Symphonic Sondheim: Sweeney Todd" from 'Stephen Sondheim: A Celebration at Carnegie Hall".

I don't know; it's my father's and he bought it. I don't think it was expensive.

Interesting, because I have a cingular phone that I am not happy with at all and I wanted to upgrade and treat myself. Do you like the phone? is it worth it?

Verizon also has Rent, The Producers, Hairspray, Hair, Spamalot, Avenue Q, The Boy From Oz, and others...
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Sprint has a TON. A ton of Broadway shows and even some off-Broadway, including Altar Boyz. Although they are kind of expensive.

re: Broadway Ringtones

I have Hairspray and Spamalot as my ringback tone for Verizon. I wish I called myself more often.

For some reason, though, I don't like having Broadway ringtones with lyrics. I prefer the instrumental or MIDI version of 'em.

re: Broadway Ringtones

I have the DJ ToneXpress program. It was free to try and only $16.95 for unlimited downloads. It allows you to make your own ringtone out of any songs you have. I took songs I had in itunes, ran them through the program, chose the 30 sec clip I wanted for the tone and downloaded it. Very simple. I have a RAZR V3 (Cingular/AT&T service) and it works perfectly.

If you go to mobile17.com you can put any song from your itunes onto your phone and make it your ring, and it's free. You choose what part and how long of a song you want on there. Right now my ringtone is the Gypsy Overture.

re: Broadway Ringtones

I use mobile17.com to make the ringtone for my phone. You just have to have the mp3 of the songs you want to use and know the start and stop times of the section you want to use as your ringtone.

re: Broadway Ringtones

Download a FREE program called audacity. It is for either PC or Mac. Follow the easy directions and you can make your own ringtones. I have bluetooth so I just beam them into my V3 but there are other ways of doing it and it explains it in the directions.
