I'll echo everyone else and reiterate how sincerely I hope Sherie does this. I saw the show specifically to see her and was really amazed at how well her voice has aged - she sounds the same as if I just turned on the L5Y. With her around, the show is probably in the best shape musically it will ever be in.

I want to echo what others have said about the (d)evolution of Alice in Next to Normal. Practically, the song likely exists to give the actress playing Caroline a break immediately following Lot's Wife. Without it she'd be onstage until almost the very end of the show. Since it's performed by the Radio, I always assumed the song sits (mostly) outside the narrative and takes the form of a popular song of the day, in which case the "this" is likely a romantic affair.

The production returns to the Irish Historical Society on November 20, starring Estelle Parsons and Mary Beth Peil. Buy tickets here, if you have a spare $400-1k. Apparently they're going to offer a lottery through Today Tix, but no info yet on pricing. It's a real shame they've set the price point where it is. This was a beautiful production when I saw it in 2018.
