The show league games are a lot of fun to watch, but don't expect to get too close to the players.
One of my softball teams played in one of the fields close by and we stopped to watch them play and had no idea what it was until we saw some people trying to ask a player for autographs.
If you play softball, bring a glove to the game. Sometimes they need people to play.

its actually a little strange now, because theyre all used to playing at the hecksher fields where theyve played for years, and the new area and new crowd plus the lack of bleachers changes the whole environment. there was even a theif among us last week. :-/
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I had a great time when I went to softball. It's lots of fun.

its a blast. i've played in the league for the past four years.
Moxie, you're not serious, are you?
Whether Moxie is serious or not...there are rules about who can play. Even if a team may be short players, they can't just have a random person play.
Do you know who tried to ask for an autograph? If it was someone nice, he/she probably obliged, but ulgh, it's so not the place for it.

yeah, theyre not allowed to just pick up players- and if they ever did, theyve changed the rules. The only time ive ever seen non-members (ie. friends of players) take the field was when one of the 2 teams forfeited and they played against themselves anyway just to have some fun.
