I'm going to be in NYC at the end of May and I was thinking about going to see a broadway show league game. Has anyone ever been?
It's really fun to go watch if you enjoy softball.
Don't go expecting to get pics and autographs though, not that kind of thing.
Haha no I wasn't planning on that. I don't bug people unless its the stage door or where they are expecting to meet fans.

I've been! It's so relaxing to sit in Central Park with friends and watch softball in the summer. You'd be surprised to see that these Broadway folks are really good at softball as well as their day jobs!
Here's the website for more info.:

bump...
I understand that Mister Wilson is playing on The Wedding Singer's team--his friend Matt Stocke is in that production.
Did anyone see Mister Wilson play?

I have a qusetion I cannot find the answer to. What happens to teams from shows that have closed? I was planning to see the Wedding Singer/Lestat game in the 11:30 Division on June 8. Will that game still take place or would The Wedding Singer be given a new opponent or a bye?
It should still be the Lestat team that's playing.

Doesn't matter if a show is closed - the team still plays ---"Ring of Fire"'s team, for example, started this softball season (and is playing throughout it) AFTER the show had already closed.
yes, Lestat will keep playing.
they played today minus Stanek who they couldn't get ahold of. beat Festen by one run in extra innings.
this was my first time today--it was SO much fun. people from the show who don't play come to watch, and they all bring their kids--it's SO much fun.

You can't tell from those pictures, but Matty Fresh was there too playing for his old team, Hairspray
Matt is so cute. Have I said that? I will say it again.
Anyone know who plays on the Jersey Boys team?
I want to go to one of these this year! I've got to make sure I do.
Is it just me or does it look like his sweats are falling down? I'm just sayin'...

Edited.
Give me an EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
BSL games are so much fun! My normally shy brother loves base/softball, and he was cheering and shouting along with the best of him. Even made the calls right before the ump did, LOL. Still have to get to a game this year, it's hard working on Thursdays. But if you can go, give it a try; it's a blast!
