Didn't know that. She is still listed on the NWS website. I am actually volunterring for this so I will be there but bot sure I will actually see the show.

Since you're working it, do you have any idea as to a run time? I'm doing this show at 8pm and then the late night John Hughes at 10:30pm down in Soho; I'm sure I'll be fine for time, but just in case.

Does anybody know if Tori Amos is still working on a musical as rumored/announced a few months ago? She is my favorite musician of all time.

That article pretty much says that it is in the works and when it is supposed to premiere. I suspect it is still going to happen. Looks like her current tour will be ending over there so maybe she will be there to work on the show.

Anakela, from what I understand the music is scheduled for 90 minutes. That does not include the in between chat and patter. So probably 2 hours or so.

I don't own any Tori Amos but from what I understand, if you are a fan of hers the song selection is good. I have heard her and like her, just don't know the names of songs.

Anakela, did you make your second show? They were supposed to have a break but decided not to at the Tori concert so you should have been good! Where were you sitting? That was me standing house left (facing the stage) at the exit halfway down the house. It was a good concert. The reception and open mic in the Time Out Lounge afterwards was fun. Some of the performers hung out and sang. Katie Thompson did a song on the pinao in the lounge and, once again, brought the house down. (Did you like the bubbles?! lol)

Aww, thanks so much for the info! I actually ended up gifting my ticket to a friend of mine, and I went to see Morgan James at Rockwood at 8pm instead. (Why was there *so much* happening tonight?) But I did already hear from said friend that it was a fabulous show, as in there was so much talent on that stage, she's looking up artists she wasn't familiar with before, fabulous, so that's always awesome.

And, Morgan performed two of Katie Thompson's songs tonight, so I did kind of get some Katie Thompson in my evening. :)

backwoods...The musical must still be on. They talked about it briefly at the concert last night.

Anakela...I jusy looked at the pics from the Hughes concert and Von Essen was in attendance. Wonder why he pulled out of the Tori Amos concert?

They made it sound like it was just being released but it looks like it already was a few months ago. (Private Page) She has a fabulous sense of humor. I got to chat with her and we had a funny exchange about smiles.
