Did a search but couldn't find an answer to my question.

How early do people start arriving for Broadway Under the Stars?

I know in the past when it was at Bryant park, the park wouldn't open until a certain time. Now that it's in Central Park not sure what the procedure will be. There are gates around the great lawn but my guess is it will be open all day. They do also close the gates when it rains to protect the lawn so that could be a factor as well.

I think when it used to be in Bryant Park people would arrive at around 5:30 or 6 - but now it's in a bigger space, so you probably don't have to get there as early.
