Should an actor put in his bio: "He is a graduate of the theatre program at Northwestern, where he really enjoyed his classes, got all the lead roles, did lots of drugs and had his first gay experience"?

ANYWAYS!!!!! Back to the original subject....
Joe Mantello and Danny Hoch have publicly disdained N. C. School of the Arts....I went there and I can't help but agree...when I was there, the faculty frequently spoke of Mary Louise Parker (who was just beginning to take off in her film career) as a "bimbo". Yeah, the bimbo whose name you schlepp around in your advertising with absolutely no shame! They do the same thing with Jada Pinkett Smith and Jennifer Ehle--calling them alma mater--when I know for a fact that both of whom were only at NCSA for one (1) year. This is also the school that cut Parker Posey...dreadful people, just dreadful.
Raul Esparza has spoken ill of NYU...as did Camryn Manheim, who ripped it a new asshole in her book, "Wake Up, I'm Fat!"
I still think the reason these schools have such illustrious rousters is they have the luxury of going around the country and auditioning people, then pick and choose. It really doesn't have much to do with the actual program.

Evelyn,
How would we know how Denis feels, maybe you should ask him directly.

Jon:
The point is that it's *not* unusual for a performer's alma mater (and nothing more about it) to be listed in the bio. I would not expect more. However, I'm interested in knowing what these performers think about their alma maters considering that people reading their bios might [wrongly] assume that they enjoyed their experiences at those schools.
HJAJ:
It's possible that Denis interviewed about Northwestern just as Viola Davis did about Julliard. I do know that he said they taught him Chekhov, which he never put to use.

Jon, are you talking about me?!?
Well, except the part about all the lead roles and the fact that my degree is in Communication Studies and Political Science and that I didn't do LOTS of drugs...the rest is all true!
