Hi Everyone! I'm Henry Farnam, and I host a new (free) internet radio talk show called "Broadway and More". My primary focus is on Broadway, but because I've worked as an actor in Hollywood quite a bit and also have 2 CD's out, I have worked with some incredible people from other aspects of the entertainment industry beyond live theater, so I will be incorporating many of those people into the show as well. BUT, the primary focus is and always WILL be on Broadway and Live Theater!
Anyway, I love reading this board and hearing what you guys all have to say. And in addition to having live guests on the show for interviews/taking listener calls and chatroom questions, etc., I really want to incorporate the Broadway fans like all of YOU into the show as well. My co-host, Kathy, and I have themes for each show and we really want to talk to you guys on the air and in our live chatroom about these themes. We love the live interviews (this past weekend we had a great time with Kathryn Crosby who had SO many amazing stories to tell about her life and Bing and State Fair and her new show, etc.) - and we always want to have enough time for these interviews as well as being able to give YOU guys the chance to call into the show and post in the chatroom with your questions and comments for the guests. But like I said, I'm loving reading this message board and hearing all of the incredible things you guys all talk about in here. And so we want to be sure to have the time to really get into some great topics about Broadway and live theater that incorporates all of the listeners. The show is currently on Sunday nights 9 p.m. Eastern Time/6 p.m. Pacific - and runs for two hours. But after this past show this week with Kathryn Crosby, I really think that's not enough time for a guest AND for having topics and open lines for talking about "all things Broadway". So we are toying with the idea of a 3 hour broadcast that would being at 8 p.m. Eastern/5 p.m. Pacific. But to make that work, we need listeners who will participate in the show, much in the same ways that you guys do here on this board. We want your ideas about topics that YOU most want to talk about. We want to hear what broadway stars YOU want to have on the show the most - so that we can let those stars know that they're being asked for. For those of you who have listened to talk radio before, most of it is politics-based. And hundreds of people call into these shows to voice their opinions and to talk to the hosts about what they think about the subjects being discussed. Now, I'm no fan of politics - my love is Broadway - just as it seems to be for so many of you guys here on the board. And judging from what I've seen here, there are SO many people who really WANT to talk about Broadway and Live Theater. People who want to give their updates and reviews and tell their stories about seeing the shows, etc. And so we really want YOU all to come join us on the show and call in and write in and participate in the live chatroom during the show so that we can not just have a forum for writing about Broadway and live theater, but also have a great talk show where you guys can voice your opinions and join in about the subjects we're talking about.
So I want to personally invite all of you to come join us as we continue to build this show and make it the kind of show that broadway fans can really enjoy and become part of. We know we can't please everyone - we'll certainly TRY, of course - but we really are aiming having the kind of show that thrives on AM radio, but is all about the best subject in the world - Broadway Theater!!!!
You can check out the radio show site at: www.HenryFarnam.com/radio
Like I said, it's free to listen to. This is definitely not any kind of advertisement to get anyone to sign up or purchase anything - I hate that garbage and will never allow it on my station or my website. Our broadcaster is called "Live365 Radio" and they have paid options, of course, but for OUR broadcast - WE pay for it all - you're welcome to join their paid thing if it's what you want and you like the radio options they offer. BUT you don't need to pay anything to listen to our show or to join in on it. We have full instructions on the website for listening, for joining in on the conversations, calling in, etc (also FREE). Plus we run replays of past shows during the week 24/7 when the show's not live.
Of course, we're hoping you'll check out the replays and enjoy them. But we really want you all to join us live and to help make this show a great experience for everyone.
And I also have an active message board as well that is linked through my website's radio page, where you can post your suggestions about upcoming shows and themes and subjects and guests, etc. The only thing we ask that is everyone try to keep it positive on the site - we want all of our guests to feel that "Broadway and More" is a show that will treat them with respect and where they will have fun during their time on the show and with the listeners who will be calling in and/or posting in the live chatroom and on the message board. I don't want to pull anyone away from posting here at Broadwayworld.com. I think this is a great place. But I do hope you'll also pop over to our site as well because it helps SO much to know what you guys are thinking about as we plan for future shows and review our past shows.
So I hope you'll come and join us and participate in helping to make this show absolutely incredible. You are welcome to just sit back and listen, of course. But I really believe that what will make this show great is having lots of participation on the air with the listeners and the Broadway fans. We want to hear your comments, your reviews of the shows you've seen, your opinions on things... and we have some interesting ideas for shows that can only be great if we have lots of people participating and voicing their opinions (like our upcoming Lloyd Weber vs. Sondheim debate).
I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible! Thanks for listening!

That sounds like fun! I missed this last week's show but I'd like to be part of the show and call in about things to the show and stuff. Can we call in about anything we want to talk about? Does it just have to be for that week's guest? Or do you have parts of the show that just are for talking about shows and things we've seen or want to talk about? My friend Dan said he loved your show last week and he told me I should go listen to it next week. Could you get someone from Spamalot on your show? I have some questions for them too.

Sorry if I wrote too much up above - I'm just really passionate about the show and wanted to tell everyone about it. I also wanted to say more than "come listen to my radio show" and to explain what it is and why it's been created and what it's aiming to be, etc.. But for those who want the shortened version:
1) Broadway Radio Talk Show - available for free on the internet at my site - LIVE SUNDAY NIGHTS 8 - 11 p.m. Eastern/5 - 8 p.m. Pacific.
2) Combination of Guests (Bway stars, film/tv stars, Bway/Hollywood Legends) and taking calls from listeners and from live chatroom to talk about weekly Bway topics and also open forums for whatever you want to talk about, comment on or review that has to do with Bway or live theater around the country.
3) Free free free free and free (did I mention that it's a free show)
4) Shows run in replays every week 24/7 for shows you missed and/or want to hear again.
5) Message boards also, to write about the show and to suggest future topics of discussion or guests you want to have on the show, etc.
If you're interested in learning more - go up a few posts and read my full long description of the show. Hope to have you join us!
