I went today and thought it was amazing. Did anyone else go ? Or is anyone going tomorrow ?
Spoilers The Newsies vs Annie kids in a rap off was a highlight as was the cast of Kinky Boots in full body leotards dancing to a different drummer. Not for kids moments were a plenty including Ave Q where the puppets were having sex in many different ways. One male puppet said I'm going to go to town on that ass, to another male puppet before said puppet went to town on his ass.
There was a skit where after Lila Crawford with her co star dog left the stage another raggedy looking orphan girl with teddy bear said I have to follow that bitch, then after the audience gasped she said I meant the dog. This girl and an actor dressed as a cop had a great comedy skit.
So many other great acts, if you can get a ticket you should try and go.
Kelly, you would tear up if Jessie Mueller showed up to the opening of an envelope. Even you have to understand that your incessant praise of her in any and everything she does has zero credibility anymore.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

Let the thread stay on topic, thanks. I'm pretty sick of getting crap for truly enjoying something instead of trashing things (which I think I still do plenty of). Feel free to make your own judgments about the performances you see and the actors you like or dislike, I'm perfectly entitled to post nice things about someone I like after seeing them perform.
As far as the Bonnet, will Andrea Martin and Nathan Lane be at tomorrow's performance? I noticed they were both listed on the title page but were not present today.
I love Jesse's voice but that arrangement was stinko and did her no justice. Stars sometime just show up fr Tuesday's show. Monday is their only day off. The return of Little Sally and Officer Lockstock was a highlight. Newsies/Annie was great and Kinky too.
Godolphin -- with the girl and the cop, I assume you meant Little Sally and Officer Lockstock from URINETOWN? They're always the highlight for me. Can't wait!
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Funny how you're urging people who call you out to keep the thread on topic after you've conveniently gone back and edited out the part of your initial post where you directly told "haters" to suck it, Kelly.
It sure paints the circumstances entirely differently to try and make it look like you did nothing but offer an innocent compliment when you were antagonizing other people yourself from the start.

Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

I edited my post because I meant it as a lighthearted joke and it wasn't taken that way, so in order to prevent the thread from further derailment, it was removed. Also, "suck it" are your words, not mine. Why don't you talk about the Bonnet? Or did you just post in this thread to be a rude instigator?
On topic: Little Sally and Officer Lockstock was great, definitely killed me, can't believe I forgot to mention it.
I also attended the Monday show and also loved the Kinky Boots and Newsies/Annie rap routines. I also thought the Wicked salute to Newtown CT was good and the Lion King was also very enjoyable. The bonnets are always unique but they just seemed extra special this year.
The Easter Bonnet and Gypsy show in December are two of the most entertaining shows a person can see on Broadway.
KINKY BOOTS won Best Skit and LUCKY GUY won Best Fundraiser. The Awards were presented by Harvey and Lauper (KINKY) and Hanks (LUCKY), hmm? kidding. Great show and work by all. Most $ raised for Bonnet!
