Has anyone purchased group tickets from Broadway.com before? I am looking to see Waitress in July but they currently don't have discounts past May and when I go to Waitress' website, it says for 12 or more tickets, "click here"...which brings me to Broadway.com. I would never use a website like them normally but, right now it's the only option to get a discount for July for 12 people. I called them and said I would like the rear orchestra pricing and she said OK. But, she said I can't choose my seats, I just get whatever they give us. It's up to the box office. I saw there were two center rows in the rear that were left but she said it could be side, it could be where ever and I don't get a say. She said that's what I give up when I go through a group sale...

So my question is mainly - has anyone used them before? If so, good seats? Are they usually fair? It's so far in advance - I'm wondering if they will try and see me the ones all the way on the side? Any insight would be helpful. Thanks!

That's how group sales work.  You get what you get.   I get group tix about 5 times a year.....they haven't been anywhere but rear mezz in YEARS.  The only exception to that I can remember is for August: Osage County and Once....those were orchestra seats, but we were scattered all over the theater both times.

I would never use B'way.com for individ tix (their fees are outrageous) but I've not heard a bad thing about their group ticket sales.
