A few things of note (to me at least):
- the average annual household income is down 3% from the prior season, which theoretically means that less affluent people are attending, which also aligns with the fact that the average ticket price is also lower (generally a good thing imo)
- I also wonder how much of the people with higher incomes are people who are coming from out of state/internationally since that implies they have the means to travel and get a hotel in NYC
- I do find the play vs musical differences interesting, with playgoers being more affluent (average annual household income of $320,141!), though the other major factor is that the average age for a playgoer is almost 6 years older than the average for a musical attendee. Also since this past season saw a lot of celebrity-driven plays, I suppose it would make sense for those with higher incomes to be the ones to afford tickets to go
- I'm also curious how they separate out play and musical attendees and where they calculate the people who go to both
- The average person attended more shows than last year's average
- Nice to see the BIPOC population of theatergoers rising, and some new highest percentages for Asian and Hispanic audiences as well

Does the actual study, instead of this article's highlights, reveal mean data instead of just average figures? That would be particularly useful for several of the figures.

Both actually, but at least mean since it is the true average. Mode might also be interesting.
