Brian O'Bryan is awesome. Peter Flynn was hysterical doing 'Be Our Guest' by himself. Brooke Tansley has a great voice, I had never heard her sing before.
Hairspray was great. Chester Gregory and Darlene love are fantastic. Also the one who is taking over as Tracy next week, Shannon Durig (sp?).
Phantom wa sa little disappointing. David Gashen sang "Music of the Night" beautifully though.

i'm glad you guys enjoyed altar boyz!!! danny calvert did a much better job during the real performance than during sound check, lol!! and david josefsberg, one...one, one choice! lol!! :p

beauty and the beast performance blew me away. im partial to phantom but wow, i may just have to go to beauty and the beast soon.

It was a blast! Its awesome that the artists will come out in such hot weather to perform for the community!

The park was packed! So if you're going in the future, get there at least 30 minutes early if you want a chair and a good view. Bring a bag lunch too! The performers walk right off stagw after they perform and you can meet them to the left of the stage where they sign autographs and take pics. Then they walk aroud like normal people.

Phantom - it was good. christine didnt have enough charm though, but nonetheless the performance was great. the phantom was definitely the best part.

Hairspray - a lot of fun - even though ensemble voices where recorded on the track. darleen love was incredible! i was surprised to see bruce vilanch there too.

B & B - brooke tansley plays belle very cartoony, but still it was wonderful. she's such a sweetheart too! after her performance she went and sat in the audience. lovely girl! the beast's standby performed. he was fabulous! during sound check, after he sang he walked off stgae and everyone heard im say "i thought my head was gonna pop off at the end". lumiere was fabulous! he looked a little crzy doing the massive number all by himself, but it was hysterical! i also spoke with him after and he was incredibly kind!

Altar boyz - impressive!! very boybandish but adorable. there were a few bad noted during sound check but still an admirable performance. sexy, too!

a lot of fun overall! don't miss the future onesifyou are around!

the host was trying to be witty about it and said Lite FM's weatherman was there in attendance and assured us he said it wouldn't rain until the night.

I was very impressed with the understudy Beast. I thought Steve Blanchard was still the current Beast, if that is true, I think his understudy was ten times better.

And the new Tracy in Hairspray shows promise, she is energetic and adorable with a killer voice.

Assuming Rent does their normal songs, Cary and Matt do usually show up at these things so they would do "what you own", Kelly and Frenchie (if Merle decides to be faithful to softball) for TMOLM and assorted cast for SOL.

Once Around the Sun was cute - pretty catchy. I wanted a demo CD (I saw them going around), but I didn't get one. PM me if you did, though, por favor.

RENT... gosh, those guys look bored. But, it was nice to hear those songs sung live again. It's certainly been too long.

I went for the first time today . I was bored. Once around the Sun was great. Rent is old. They did a nice job though. And i left during Charity cause I was bored. But yes, i saw all the performers walking around like normal people....and they even went and walked all by themselves into the streets afterwards.
