all that jazz-I'm just as surprised no one has mentioned the most recent revival of "West Side Story" which had lyrics in Spanish.

Why hasn't anyone mentioned the most recent revival of "West Side Story" which had lyrics in Spanish?
Mea culpa-I apologize.
BUT-I have an addition-"The Lion King" has various African languages incorporated into it.
Now that I think about it, Fiddler on the Roof SHOULD have Hebrew or Yiddish lyrics, but doesn't. I certainly wouldn't count the "Da-di-ya-da-di-ya-dai-dai," or whatever meaningless syllables were sung in "If I were a Rich Man," although using meaningless syllables instead of words while singing a melody is common in Jewish prayer. A song without words but with nonsense sounds is called a "niggun," pronounced nee-GOON. Niggunim (the plural) are often used for spiritual chants.

Ha! Didn't think of Fiddler. How forgiving would audience members be, if when during one if the songs there was a verse in Hebrew? It wouldn't be a super important verse, and it wouldn't have a punch line, but it would remind you of the culture the characters are coming from. They should be speaking in Russian anyway...
I'm assuming Soul Doctor will have lyrics in Hebrew...
