Agnes Demille maybe? How about Hal Prince? I also think Jerry Bock, Sheldon Harnick, Zero Mostel, and of course Anita Morris. she HAS to be on that walk of fame.

I agree with everyone said, and also Stephen Schwartz, who has contributed to Broadway with Pippin and Godspell, among a few others. I think he deserves to be there!

I'm glad they're doing this.

I always thought it was going to be in the Shubert Alley. So is it a done deal? I'd love to see Stephen Schwartz, Michael Bennett, Julie Andrews Carol Channing, Rodgers and Hammerstein. YIKES and too many more!

"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen." Conan O'Brien

Patti Lupone, Jerry Orbach. Especially Ms. Lupone, who has (arguably) provided some very definitive takes on the incredible roles of Eva Peron and Reno Sweeney, among others.

Hi, by the way. I've been lurking for quite awhile now, and I just joined up for real. This seems like *such* a fun message board! I'm sixteen years old, live in Canada, and condone typing in grammatically correct sentences. You might know me on musicals.net as Bal or Compulsive Bowlers as Fairlith... I don't post at either of those boards very often, though.

A Walk of Fame could be fun - but there is really no space ( Shubert Alley could be it - but those are only a few meters...okay, a bit more... of space )...and we would miss a lot of greats who have passed on.

But why not a really great THEATRE MUSEUM - something like they have in London, but a bit more contemporary ( not as musty-feeling as the London one)? We can have videos, photographs, costume and partial set displays, video clips of some of the best shows, the Tony awards broadcasts...maybe, even a special memorabilia section ( occasionally available on sale), special appearances by upcoming productions ( if it can include an open space like a mini-park).

It would be great not only for tourists, but also for the regular theatregoers!

How about it, Mayor Bloomberg and the Broadway community ?

Would it be a star for each person (a la Hollywood) or just a little brick or something with the person's name? If it were the latter I could see it being fairly easy to fit everyone.

I would also like to put in another vote for Neil Simon. re: Broadway walk of fame.
