BroadwayCon 2018 Question

I will be going to BroadwayCon 2018 in January.   It's my first time and I had a couple of questions. First, should I get tickets to a show on Saturday night or will there be programs going on at BroadwayCon into the evening? My second question is what time the closing ceremony will end and if it's worth staying for?   I have to be at work Monday morning and would like to get home at a reasonable time.   Any information or suggestions would be appreciated.  :)

There's always stuff going on in the evenings. It's up to you. I did enjoy how it's a little more "adult" (not R-rated, but definitely not for the younger set) and freeform, but I'm a local, so I didn't care about not using that time slot to see a show.

BroadwayCon normally coincides with Broadway week. So if you are going with a friend, you guys can take advantage of the Bway week discounts come Jan 5th.

Good advice.   I was also wondering what extacly happens at the closing ceremony.   Thanks for the information.

I went last year, and was done a 5-6:30 every day. There was some late night programming, but the schedule's a lot lighter than the daytime. I will note that it was even lighter last year because a lot of later night stuff got cancelled when the equity kerfuffle happened. Still, I plan to book shows those days this time around.

The closing ceremony is very skippable, it's mostly a recap of everything and some feel good. THe whole con is almost always over by 3pm anyway, even with the closing ceremony

This is very helpful, thank you. I'm looking forward to going and seeing a couple of shows too!
