Though the official prices never changed for Boy From Oz back then, the secondary ticket market place was very high especially after Hugh Jackman won his Tony. I always thought dynamic pricing nowadays is a way for producers to at least get some of the money people would have spent buying tickets through stubhub.

I always thought Paul Alexander Nolan would make a great Jerry. Given how he was ok with being nude in Slave Play I'm presuming he'd be ok with the big strip at the end.

yeah if you hate missing out, then that $25 TDF ticket was your best bet. I agree with others that it is unique and one-of-a-kind though I wouldn't say it's a must see. It is not for everyone and yes, I saw an elderly couple leave the show early (during the novel Bodysurfer). Damien does a great job though with consent in regards to audience participation.

Saw this play back on Tuesday 9/15 and though I was initially disappointed that Denee Benton was out, her cover iesha m daniels had her Broadway debut that evening and she was great! She's Liberian-American and I thought she nailed the Ghanaian English accent very well! I hope this play gets extended. I just bought a ticket to see the play again next weekend when Jocelyn Bioh covers Patina Miller.

I always wondered whether Jonathan Bailey & Ariana Grande were simply talking about Sondheim during filming of Wicked and then the idea to have this revival was born? Or was the pairing Marianne Elliott's idea?

No need to stunt cast. The Elphaba or Glinda roles tend to be a great stepping stone for an actor's career on Broadway or entertainment in general.I recall friends wanted to watch Wicked last year since they wanted to know the ending (since they had only seen part 1 of the movie at the time.)At the moment most tourists in NYC right now are here for the World Cup, not to watch Broadway.
